Spirit Liveaboards is the alliance of three seasoned veterans of the diving industry with each partner bringing an invaluable wealth of knowledge of diving destinations and worldwide liveaboard and resort operation and management.

Alex Ilnitsky brings over 20 years of experience in the diving industry, focusing on achieving the highest standards of hospitality and service. As the owner of Beqa Lagoon Resort, the leading dive resort in Fiji, Alex has a deep understanding of the South Pacific region. His expertise in food & beverage, hospitality, and diving ensures that guests experience everything the destination offers, including its culture, people, and food. Alex’s commitment to creating memorable moments for guests is at the heart of Spirit Liveaboards, promising extraordinary diving adventures.

At Spirit Liveaboards, we strive to combine both above- and below-water adventures, walking paths less traveled while ensuring that our service levels in every aspect remain exceptionally high. With over 20 years of experience working on liveaboards in the Maldives, David and Lisa Allison bring exceptional knowledge and expertise to the Spirit team. Since joining in March 2026, they have been dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences, both above and below the surface.

Their deep passion for the ocean, combined with their professionalism and understanding of the region, ensures every trip is safe, seamless, and truly memorable.

Oleksandra Chuvilova is from Odesa, Ukraine. She has always had a deep love and passion for hospitality, with a dream of owning a glamping site on a salt lake. Her journey in the hospitality industry began in childhood, leading her to study hotel management in college.

With over 10 years of experience working in hotels and travel agencies, Oleksandra joined Beqa Lagoon Resort in May 2022 as a reservation and now works with Spirit Liveaboards.

Sales & Marketing, Oleksandra Chuvilova

Growing up in Washington State and residing in Las Vegas, Nevada for the past 20 years, Michael Brown has been diving since his college days, where he took it as a course. With 40 years of diving experience and over 500 dives, he is an advanced diver who loves recreational diving. He and his wife have been fortunate to explore several exotic dive sites, especially through his role at Beqa Lagoon Resort over the past 15 years. Diving in Fiji has been a dream realized.

As the Group Sales Manager for Beqa Lagoon Resort and Spirit Group, he looks forward to new adventures in the Maldives and other destinations. His love for working with people drives him, and he hopes to continue for many more years. The Beqa group feels like family, and he is excited to expand this sense of camaraderie to the Maldives group

Captain Mo has been part of the Spirit team since January 2025, bringing with him over 20 years of experience operating liveaboards in the Maldives.

With an exceptional knowledge of local waters, routes, and conditions, he ensures every journey is safe, smooth, and expertly navigated. His calm leadership and deep connection to the ocean make him a trusted and valued member of the Spirit team.
